É sempre triste quando um de nós morre, mas, desta vez, a pedido de alguns amigos, passamos a honrar e a recordar a vida de Duarte Santos (dono da loja Phoenix) que nos deixou na passada quinta-feira, 17 de setembro de 2020. 

O Duarte era de Sines e foi uma das figuras mais importantes no bodyboard do Alentejo, sendo um marco e uma referência para as gerações mais novas.

A hora é de dor e de pesar, mas, em nome da comunidade, deixamos as mais sinceras condolências à família e amigos. 

Que descanse em paz.

Notícia de última hora não deixa de ser desoladora e refere que a organização do Circuito Nacional de Bodyboard Crédito Agrícola 2020 foi forçada a cancelar a etapa prevista para este sábado e domingo, no Molhe Leste, em Peniche, devido às inesperadas e anormais condições atmosféricas que se abateram sobre a península hoje à tarde.

Em anexo, reproduzimos o comunicado do Exmo. Capitão do Porto de Peniche, Vasco Cristo.

Considerando o Aviso meteorológico do IPMA que se anexa, considero não haver condições de segurança para a realização da Etapa do Campeonato Nacional de Bodyboard Open e Bodyboard Feminino e que estava previsto para os dias 19 e 20 de setembro de 2020.

Assim, o mesmo deverá ser cancelado.

Depois de uma fantástica e auspiciosa primeira etapa realizada em Santa Cruz, ainda em agosto, Peniche cancela a segunda paragem e o tour avança agora para a Nazaré e Póvoa de Varzim onde serão realizadas as restantes provas. Confirma as datas:

3.ª etapa, 3 e 4 de outubro, Nazaré

4.ª etapa, 24 e 25 de outubro , Póvoa de Varzim

Press Release: This edition will be special due to the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and will be held without an audience. It will be held from 17-31 October. Open and Female Divisions.

After working hard to celebrate this edition, we have been given permission from the public administrations to run it, but with the conditions to perform the event without an assistant audience and we must also comply with a protocol to ensure the safety of competitors and workers.

This year we will therefore place special emphasis on the quality of streaming, social networks, press and television, so that we keep the thousands of supporters of this radical sport informed of all the details.

From the organization we feel really sorry that this year spectators cannot attend the championship area and hope that they can enjoy it through the wide broadcast.
